I've played video games throughout my life. I wouldn't exactly consider myself a gamer. It's not a consistent part of my

routine, but rather, I'll go through periods where a particular game will capture my attention.

One such game from 2018 was called Detroit Become Human. It was a different kind of game,

a decision-making game, not focused on combat or shooting,

but how the choices we make can have a profound ripple effect.

There is one recurring cutscene in that game that stuck with me.

In it, an AI robot or Android, who is programmed programmed as a servant experiences a dramatic life event.

It's the kind of thing that I think if we live long enough we all will experience at some point.

The kind of event that fundamentally changes how you perceive and interact with the world.
