The In last week's season two wrap-up show, I began by including a few notes from Mark Zickory's Twilight Zone companion on the kind of state of play for the Twilight Zone at that time

with season two coming to an end so I thought I'd begin this one with a little state of play

for the Twilight Zone podcast itself now I actually started the Twilight Zone podcast in about 2010 near the end of it.

My thoughts at the time where I had been very amazed in reviewing horror films and horror podcasting

and I had these beautiful untouched Twilight Zone DVD box sets on my shelf that just weren't getting

watched.

And I thought, what a great way to run through those.

It'll give me an excuse to kind of watch the episodes and be a bit creative with it

to review each one, maybe short five or ten minute reviews of each episode in podcast form.

So that was the plan and with the plan as it was, it would have been a weekly show.

So therefore it's going to take me give or take about three years if I managed to get it out every week.

As long time listeners know, that wasn't the case.

But here on the 98th episode, it's kind of a source of pride for me that the show never

really went that way.

It evolved quite early on.

Now, I don't like to listen to those first episodes.

I don't think any podcaster does like to listen to those first episodes. I don't think any podcaster does

like to listen to their first efforts. But of these 98 episodes, only 65 have been episode reviews.

The Twilight Zone seems to take you in different directions as you run through it and I like to explore those

directions as they come up so after 98 there's been those 65 episode reviews but there's also

been about three radio shows nine readings of short stories about five reviews of other media

...
