10 Tips for Healthy Hope-filled Living
- Eat the Rainbow: Include a variety of colorful fruits and veggies at every meal. Not only is it healthy, but it's beautiful too.
- Catch more ZZZ's: Aim for 7-8 hours of sleep per night. This improves health and uses our body's own healing mechanisms.
- Hydrate: Drink half your weight in ounces per day. This improves your cellular function.
- Move it: Even 10 minutes of movement can improve both health and mood. Move more, and sit less.
- Laugh: Laughter is shown to accelerate healing and improve your mental focus and creativity. Find something to laugh about every day.
- Love: spend time with people you care about and who care about you in return. Good relationships affect your health and healing.
- Nature Up: It only takes a few minutes in nature to improve mood. Watch a sunset, walk in the woods, stroll through a garden.
- Hug it out: Hugs make you happier. Human touch reduces stress, lowers blood pressure and helps stimulate healing.
- Count Your Blessings: Gratitude and positive thinking have a huge impact on your health and immediately put you in a better mood.
- Tap into your spiritual side: You are more than flesh and bone. You are a body, soul and spirit that is connected. Each affects the other. Make time for spirit and soul renewal.

| 1:00.7 | to have them join us on the show. But today I want to talk with Dr. Troy about a couple of things. |
| 1:05.8 | How to get unstuck. So often we plateau, and I think sometimes we plateau when we're in one season before we |
| 1:12.2 | transition into the next season. And it could be a literal season or it could be like going from |
| 1:17.7 | winter to spring, spring to summer, summer to fall, you know, right before the transition, |
| 1:22.4 | we can kind of get stuck. Or it could be a life season where you just, the daily grind, the sameness of doing things over and over again, how do you get unstuck or how do you prepare for the next season? I want to ask Dr. Tori about that. And then also what are just some of the most common health practices that we often just let go of? We forget about it. And we're like, why did I let go of this? Why did I stop doing this? |
| 1:45.3 | And how we can, again, I think that will help us get unstuck as well. A couple quick announcements before we hear from Dr. Troy. One, Faith Radio is releasing the Christ podcast. And it's a four series epic audio of Jesus' life of the gospel, of the crucifixion, of the resurrection. |
| 2:02.9 | And we as a staff had four listening parties. |
| 2:06.2 | It's like, imagine like the passion of the Christ, a little bit of the chosen. |
| 2:11.3 | It's cinematography without the video. |
| 2:14.0 | So I imagine these groups sitting around, leaning in, closing their eyes and listening. |
| 2:18.1 | You hear the sound effects. You hear animals. You hear the brutal pain of Jesus on the cross. |
