Hey all ye beautiful people and welcome to the glorious and the mundane podcast I'm your host

Christy Knuckles. Today we're going to pause in the middle of this podcast series that as you

well know by now has been centered around my new book The Lifey Long For Learning to Live

From a Heart of Rest. I should say that we're actually towards the very end of this podcast series

and I hope that you have enjoyed it as much as I have. But since this is the week of Mother's Day,

I felt led to both celebrate my own mother and I'll get to that here in a little bit. But also just

to pause and come around the beauty that is the heart of a mother. I know from experience

that Mother's Day can be a very difficult day for many people. Maybe it's because you're longing

to be a mother in this season. Maybe you've experienced miscarriage or infertility or both.

So this day can be really challenging on a heart level. I understand. I remember this season

well that Nathan and I lost two babies back to back. I was looking around at all my friends who

were just popping out babies left and right and just marveling at how their bodies seem to just

work for some reason and mine didn't. So you know you internally start asking all the questions.

What's wrong with me? Why is it that some people just get to have babies and complain about all

the ins and outs of being pregnant while I'm just over here wondering what must that be like?

I remember those feelings and thinking those thoughts. So I'm with you and there's nothing wrong

with you and God has you and He has a plan for your life and a trajectory that is going to bless you

and it's for your healing and your restoration and for fullness and it will come to pass.

Maybe you've lost your mom. I've had a lot of time lately to wonder about what that must be like.

As my mom's been fighting ovarian cancer for the past nine months we've come face to face with

that reality and we've been trusting God at every turn and with every day here lately. So
