Every town has its stories, its secrets.

What possible harm could come from sharing them?

This is small town horror.

For some of you, that music means something very specific. It means a return of sorts to a

search for answers. In that you aren't wrong. This is indeed a search for answers

perhaps just not one that you had expected.

For longtime listeners that music means a reprieve from nearly a year of silence,

nearly a year of not having answers and for some nearly a year of demanding closure.

Perhaps as you listen to the sound of Peter Lewis's voice you anticipated hearing the dulcetones of

Ryan Jennings telling you what you already knew and walking down a road toward an unknown

end I'm sorry to be the one to tell you. That's not what this is.

The fact is that after not long it became very clear that Mr Jennings had no interest in continuing his search for answers.

Why he has remained silent for so long I can only speculate. My taking up that mantle

was not personal, it was purely professional.

When an intern in my offices made an offhand remark about trying to do a follow-up piece on the disappearance of Ryan Jennings,

I will admit that more than a small part of me felt a pang of contention.

I have sacrificed no small amount of my time for Ryan Jennings, not to mention more than a few conversations with law enforcement as to my involvement

in crimes, he may or may not have perpetrated.

Thus I took it upon myself to find the answers Ryan left behind.

I want to make it clear that what I uncovered in this series was not through some incredible

sleuthing, but a combination of professionalism, luck, and frankly the work of a lot of other people.
