And today, I am not bringing you an episode. Today I am bringing you a message. I am here

to tell you that season two of Soulgum is coming to an end. This is not a goodbye. It's a see you soon.

Season three is coming. I don't want to promise a date, but I'm hoping it's coming sooner rather than later.

I hope I can bring it back better. Think video, guests sometimes, and my juiciest, most thoughtful, philosophically packed episodes ever.

Making this podcast this year has been the most reviving and joyful and stimulating thing

for me. It has made me feel like there is room to genuinely connect on the internet, which is not a way

I've felt on short form social media for a long time. So thank you for that. I am not stepping away

because I don't love this. I love this.

But it takes a lot of my energy, intellectually, creatively, in terms of time. And I only want to give it

my best. If you know me, you might know I'm a writer and I'm currently working on something else that I really want to give

my full creative and intellectual energy. We talked a lot this season on Solgum about letting your

hopes and not your fears drive and about being loud about what your hopes are before they've worked out yet.

So let me just be clear.

I would love to write a second book.

And I don't have a second book deal.

I haven't written my proposal yet.

And I'm realizing that I really need to give it my everything.

And in order to do that, I have to make space in my life and my brain. And it's hard

because I really love making this podcast and it's hard for me to step away, but I would rather

step away and say no to something that I care about than try to ride two horses with one ass,
