The Hello all you beautiful people and welcome to the Glorious and the

mundane podcast I'm your host Christy Nockels I hope this finds you well today

I've been a little bit more on the move since I spoke to you last as I traveled for the first time since

December I was in Austin, Texas leading worship for the if gathering and I'm

wondering if many of you were able to live stream in or maybe even attend an if local I hope so it

was such a beautiful time together this was the fifth year for the if gathering and

I've loved getting to see it grow from the very beginning.

It's been really special.

It was the first time I had sung since this hearing loss thing happened to me and it was

also the first time that I put in my in-ear monitors in my ear, which is how I actually

hear the band and my vocal.

So I was really having to trust God through all of that and also just the fact that I was getting on an airplane. I wore those earplanes that you can get at a pharmacy and I will say I really do feel like they did their job.

My ears stayed pretty stable on both flights, so there's that. But it could have also been

because I had so many people praying for me and I'm so incredibly grateful for that and I

literally couldn't have done it without all of your prayers so thank you

I was pleasantly surprised that God really did show up as far as my ears were concerned and me leading.

I felt myself, if that makes sense, as I was leading

and I was really so grateful for that.

We had a couple of early early mornings

and one of those mornings, Nathan and I had only gotten about two hours of sleep so that was fun

Both nights actually until about 3 a.m. We could hear sort of the low end of a party somewhere and all I could think of

was that late 90s Saturday Night Live skit with Chris Kitan and Wilf barrel where
