From the day the men

at the remote beach on the Cook Inlet on the southern coast of Alaska, they felt a pervasive

sense of unease. One of the men, a normally fit and healthy individual, felt nauseous,

and then vomited for no apparent reason. Then, after they began exploring the area, a few of the men came across a large stone column set back from the shore among the trees.
