Laker fans? Welcome to the Laker Film Room podcast. I'm Pete, joined by Darius. And in a little bit,

we're going to talk about the Lakers search for a second star, somebody to pair with Luka

long term and kind of what might go into that. But first, I wanted to talk

some NBA playoffs. Indiana became the first team to punch their ticket into the conference

finals with a convincing 4-1 victory over the 64 win, number one-seated Cavs, D. Very impressive

back-to-back trips to the conference finals. They really impressed me on the

defensive end. I loved their team build. They started this season 10 and 15, started very slow.

And due to injuries and things like that last year, I think there was a bit of a stigma around

them of they kind of got lucky getting to the conference finals and that gets further cemented by a rough start

to the season. They were very good after those first 25 games. And I know Garland was hobbled,

Mitchell was hobbled for the last couple of games of that, but that's not the reason why

they won that series. They won that fairly decisively. So I just wanted to talk on the top end,

just some thoughts on a Pacer's team that I thought looked really impressive, beating the Cavs.
