The Broncos 2026 draft is in the books. They just wrapped up their seven-man draft class.

And I spoke to Sean Payton and George Payton after both days of the draft. Just wrapped up their post-draft press conference.

We're on Friday night, the Broncos traded back in the draft in order to acquire draft

capital, but they use their first pick on defensive lineman, Tyler Ognettam, out of Texas,

A&M, and this is a big boy, almost 300 pounds. And one of the things we learned from

Sean Payton and George Payton is Tyler has the opportunity to win JFM's starting role. Of course,

JFM left in free agency. He has the opportunity to win that role this year. However, what I'm

hearing from people inside the building is that this is more of a developmental pick.

It's a guy that it might play this year, but is really going to have a bigger role in years forward.

And he is a guy that really burst onto the scene last year.

He went to Iowa State with teammates with Innu Wazareke, his first year at Iowa State.

He spent many years there before then transferring to Texas A&M last year.

And that's when the Broncos really caught eye of him when he was at Texas A&M.

Had a very good season last year at Texas A&M. And the Broncos believe that he can develop into a future Pro Bowl 4-Tech defensive linemen for the Broncos and he insists that he is a

defensive lineman not a defensive end not a defensive tackle a defensive

lineman because he can play all over the field so this is one of George
