I do like really like Mendoza's mobility actually though.

Like again, it's not Lamar. It's not Josh Allen, but it's like... In the pocket. And some of those off platform throws too. Yeah, man. Back foot or like stepping to the side. Like the sidearm stuff is there. I mean, go back to the national title game. It's just not fast. Go back to the Natty in a pinch with what fourth down. They call QB draw. and he runs it in

They don't. That's the start. He's got that in his. Big dude running. Yeah, exactly. Like it works. What rub me the wrong way on Mendoza is some of those bigger throws are those back shoulder contested grabs.

And it is like, how much are the wide receivers bailing them out?

You know, like coming up big on throws that maybe weren't like perfect ball placement.

Right.

And there's there are a lot of touch throws and a lot less of the

driven throws. Yes. But then also, sometimes you have a quarterback come out who has no, who just

has like the cannon throws and you're just like, why don't you put touch on it? And I think

learning that touch, like the touch that he can put on a deep ball is something that I

think is pretty rare.

Even if he doesn't have like the cannon arm and some of that sort of stuff, the way that

the ball just kind of floats and gets the right spot, there's some penics to it is what I

would say.

But again, penics, how much of that was like, the back shoulder looks good

because you're throwing to Roma Dunzei. Right. He's going to make that right. I will say with

Brock Bowers, though, it's interesting because obviously he loved Elijah Serrat last year in Indiana and

would just throw him up the ball. Like, you know, we can talk about this wide receiving core

and how much we don't like it as much we want. But Brock Bowers is like an excellent, like, post-up type of receiver for Mendoza to have. Yeah. But post-up over areas of the field that we don't have a ton of track record of Mendoza. Like, he was living on the outside way more than he was. Yeah. On the inside, though, the timing. The quick game, though, yes. The quick game should assist him in that. Yeah. But no, I really like Mendoza as a prospect. I think there are a lot of classes where he should be the number one prospect. I do wonder if some of that's just like nostalgia. I will say I'd take him over Cam Ward. Oh, yeah. A bazillion times over a bazillion. Yeah, I mean, the turnover thing with Cam Ward is pretty big for me. Mm-hmm. I can't get over that. One, the inconsistency play-to-play. Like, yeah. He really kind of faltered at the end of games in a lot of these. And you cannot say that about Mendoza.

So I really like him as a prospect and think he'd be number one in a lot of classes.
