This week, the head... in the with you. But first, a few thoughts on what's going on in the National Football League.

I mean, we talk a lot of times here about things like Anthem protests, like the future of Roger Goodell, things like the future of Roger Goodell, things like that.

And this week I wanted to talk a little bit about the sport.

Here we are at the midpoint of the season, and there's three teams in the NFC that if you would

set at the start of the year the power teams in the NFC this year would be

the Philadelphia Eagles, the Los Angeles Rams, and the New

Orleans Saints with the Minnesota Vikings right there with them. If you were to say those three or four teams

were the premier teams in the NFC

at the season's midpoint,

I mean people would have thought that you were nuts

but I just want to take one of these teams and that's the Rams

haven't had a winning season in 14 years

widely ridiculed in question for hiring a 30 year old head coach, the youngest

head coach in modern NFL history in Sean McVeigh and you'll hear from McVeigh in this podcast and one of the things that I want you to listen to is one of the things that really impresses me about McVeigh

He's fine with spreading the credit around. He's fine with telling people,

oh yeah, I steal plays from other teams. All good coaches do. There's a humility to what he has done

with the Rams that I think is really impressive.

But more importantly, I think what has happened this year in the NFC is just a sign and what I would

tell you and what I tell friends all the time, do not gamble on this game. Don't do it. It's ridiculous. You're not going to win. You might win short term, but you're not going to win long term.
