Welcome back to this week's episode of the Emily Show. It is an on the road show which hopefully if you're on audio you can't tell and if you're on video you definitely can but interestingly enough I happen to be in New York for other events and made my way to the Southern District of New York to sit in court during the presentment, which you might know as an arraignment, for Sean, Piedity Combs and the extended detention hearing that was argued today September 17th, 2024.

This is after news of his arrest on September 16th

absolutely caught me by surprise.

We knew that this was coming, but it was always a question of when

and after the raids in March we went on throughout the summer without an indictment and we might have some more clues as to why based on things shared by the US attorney in this case the lead US attorney arguing today was Emily Johnson.

So today I'm going to break down for you the indictment, the press conference by the US attorney for the

Southern District of New York, the press conference given after the detention hearing by the defense

attorney, my takeaways from the detention hearing that lasted over two hours

in court today, and the documents filed in support of detention by the prosecution, arguing

against detention by the defense, and of course the charges in the

indictment. I am not going to go into the details of the indictment more than what

has gone into from the press conference from the US attorney for the Southern District of New York.

They go into it in enough detail.

I've gone over the Cassie lawsuit that was filed in November of 2023

and then settled.

That lawsuit comes up heavily in this detention hearing

and seems to be the basis for a lot of the racketeering

charges in this indictment.

So those are things that are familiar already

that I have covered, and we are not going to get into all of it.
