All right, welcome back to another 10 minute Tuesday and with Gavin here, one of the guys I know who puts tons of miles on in the truck, scouting.

I wanted to do a little off-season refresher on scouting, the process of going through it, kind of where you start, where most people start, and like what that looks like, right?

So I think one of the things we get asked all the time is a lot of people try and like what that looks like right so i think one of the things we

get asked all the time is a lot of people try to like figure out the difference between like a

roost versus a loaf versus especially like if you're going to start scouting for the day are you

starting at water do you have kind of a list of fields you want to check?

Is it like based on what you've heard from people about areas?

Like what's your process you go through?

For me, like around home.

Yeah.

Around home, I generally start, like so I start scouting a little different than most guys.

I like to get ahead and figure out what crops are where, because then I can break it down differently.

So, like, we don't have a lot of small grain around.

So, like, there's only just say 10 small grain fields within five miles of the main roost I know.

So I mark those right away and I know where they're at.

So that way, like, for me, I can't always...

I try to be out the door

like at sunrise

or before and be at water at sunrise

when birds are getting off

I can follow and follow them to where they're going

it doesn't always work between my work schedule
