Other names have dominated the conversation (including on this podcast) but quietly, former Portland head coach Terry Stotts has become the odds-on favorite to be hired as the next head coach of the Lakers. And while he wouldn't qualify as a particularly exiting hire, the 64-year old Stotts has a reputation for designing good offenses and led the Blazers to a near-decade of uninterrupted playoff appearances. Then again, those Portland teams hit a wall, and Stotts was fired. So would he be a good replacement for Frank Vogel, working with (presumably) LeBron James and Anthony Davis (and, at least for now, Russell Westbrook)?
