So for the drive today, we kind of threw everybody a curveball and went live with McCarthy's opening press conference.

So I wanted to talk about that press conference.

First of all, from what I understand, I'm not a big press conference guy.

I don't listen to a lot.

I get the highlights here and there or whatever.

But I did listen to this one the entire way through and we reacted to it for about an hour.

And I've been told him before this press conferences aren't exactly his specialty, you know.

And frankly, I wasn't blown away by the press conference at all. Now, I did greatly respect

the emotion that he opened up

with, you know, that, yes, we all know he's a Pittsburgher, but this job is different than the

other 31 to him. And, hey, it would be to me too. You know, being a scout for the Steelers would be

different in my heart, in my soul than it would be for any other

team, of course. And I do with, I think his emotion was very real. I don't think that was a ploy

or a game or anything to get people, you know, hooked on them and fall in love with them or

anything of that nature. And I think that's great. And frankly, I don't have anything super negative to

take out of the press conference. However, he did not inspire me in any way that he is super innovative in any way, shape, or form. I mean, a lot of things they talked about were

history and tradition and said things like, this team's been such a great three, four defense for

so many years, you know, implying that, well, we're just

definitely going to be a three four, you know, maybe I'm looking too much into that, but I didn't
