But if you have been listening to me for a couple years, this time of year, you know it's not

easy to come up with topics, but I will often just find a metric or an advanced metric of some

sort and really dig into it and how it applies to the Steelers and all those

things. Now, this offseason, that's going to be more difficult. It's easier when it's Tomlin

year after year or, you know, there's no change on either side of the ball. You kind of know how

they're going to play the game. However, we do know that Aaron Rogers is returning, and he's coming back to a

different offense, but one that he's very familiar with. So where I'm going with this is the folks at

FTN, and they bought football outsiders a while back, who frankly was like the most innovative,

advanced analytics group out there. And they have this metric now called a caused pressure rate. And this is what I talk

about offense here. We're not talking about defense causing pressure. So let me read you what that

means. A team's caused pressure rate is their pressure rate only when at least one offensive

lineman is charted as being responsible, blown blocks, and other similar mistakes.

The higher a team's caused pressure rate, the more frequently the line was blowing assignments.

The higher a team's uncaused pressure rate, the more quarterbacks were holding onto the ball

or their fault.

You know what I mean?

So there's a table here for all 32 teams that the folks at FTN put out.

And it's listing total pressure rate, caused pressure rate, and uncaused pressure rate.
