This is CBSI on the World, visiting with Professor Richard Epstein, a senior fellow of the Hover

0:10.0

Institution, teaches law at NYU in the University of Chicago. I'm John Bachelor, and the

0:14.7

momentary inquiry is a paper that Richard has put up on the defining ideas at the Hover

0:20.4

Institution about a decision by a judge, a federal judge, Terry Dowdy, to look more deeply

0:27.2

into the matter of what appears to be coordination between the U.S. government and its agencies

0:33.6

and social media platforms during the late pandemic. This matter will go on for some time,

0:39.2

so right now I'd like Richard to summarize his opinion, so we will come back to this because

0:45.2

everybody says this is headed to the Supreme Court. Richard, a judge's doubt is challenged

0:52.0

by the Biden administration. Is that a good challenge? Well, I think it's a terrible challenge,

1:19.3

on the platform who are in general sympathetic with them, but have certain kinds of disagreements

1:24.6

just to time and to play. And so what happens is we get a bunch of carrots and sticks,

1:29.8

and it's pretty some pretty tough sticks like wolf strip away from you kind of immunities,

1:33.8

or let the antitrust people go after, or completely inappropriate. And the argument is all this

1:40.2

is justified because anybody who takes a dissenting position on either the drugs, Ivermectin,

1:45.2

hydroxychloroquine, or on the vaccine is simply guilty of peddling misinformation as they want to see it.

1:52.4

So every one of these facts is admitted. So as far as I can see, the only thing that's left on

1:57.6

which the government took an end, so is that we were doing the heroes work because everything that we

2:02.5

said about these particular statements, these falsehoods, these scandals, was 100% false. And what
