Hi, everybody. Hope you had a great weekend. Welcome to Scoop. We have a bunch of really tough topics to tackle. And Scoop is the ideal place to do this because some topics are better discussed off of social media. I know I'm not announcing breaking news to anybody about this. But this is one of the reasons why we created Scoop, to have a place to go to dig in a little bit, get you prepped for the week and get you a good overview of some of the big news topics that we should just be aware of, and also give you a place to go when there's so many topics that are so easily politicized. And you're sort of watching this tennis match between both sides. I really want to talk to those of us,

I feel part of this group, that are in the middle just looking for the best information,

curious about different opinions on these topics, but also want to know what's actually

happening. So that's what we're going to talk about today. We had an interesting sort of news

arc over the last three days over the last weekend. Starting on Friday, we got some information

from Customs and Border protection about what's happening at the U.S. Southern Border.

On Saturday, we got another update regarding an investigation into documents found at President

Biden's personal residence, classified, some sort of classified material continues to be found there.

And then Sunday going into Monday, we got a little bit of a preview, a little bit of a leaked heads up that the FDA is going to be tackling the topic of COVID vaccinations this week and that there may be a new recommendation regarding them. So we got that news, a heads up that it was coming. And then we actually got

briefing notes from the FDA today, which makes me really excited. This is the sort of news I like to

report on for you when we have the data right in front of us. We can just sort of talk through the

data, see what it's telling us, and then continue to follow the stories as appropriate. So let's

just jump right in. As you know, I'm always

very sensitive to any news release on a Friday. It doesn't matter if it's Democrat or Republican,

government, corporation, celebrity, it doesn't matter. If you're putting out news on a Friday,

usually you just want that news just to hit and everybody just to drift into the weekend and

maybe not pay a lot of attention.

I don't know if that's the case for the border numbers. Perhaps the numbers just became available

and they announced it. But regardless, this news came out on Friday. We're not seeing as much

of attention on it today. I think it's a really important story because what we're seeing

at the border continues to be historic. We saw the highest number of border

encounters than we've ever seen in modern data collection. So we're going to back up two decades
