It's great to see you on the live chat. So many of you talking amongst

yourselves as we get ready for our live broadcasts. Something funny just happened. Stephanie,

who works with me on Smarter News, she is, I mean, I don't even know how to describe Stephanie.

I don't know where we would be without her. Very grateful for Stephanie. And I was checking my

microphone because as many of you know, I had some of those audio grateful for Stephanie. And I was checking my microphone

because as many of you know, I had some of those audio issues last week. And she said,

are those real birds in the background? And yes, if you hear words chirping, so just to give

you kind of an idea of where I am, I have a small office space in downtown Austin. And right outside the

window is one of the busiest roads in the city. And, you know, Austin's not a big city. So it pales

in comparison to like a busy road in New York City, for example. But there's a lot of trucks and

ambulances going by. So if you hear that occasionally, it is real. Also, there is a huge tree. And I do have the birds chirping, which is a nice little background. And maybe that's something that more news broadcast should have, because then we could just kind of turn down the temperature a little bit for some of the things that we're talking about. But hopefully spring is just around the corner, wherever you are in the country. Maybe it's already here. It's already here in Texas and spring is very short-lived, meaning we'll have wildflowers for about a week.

You might be able to wear an actual t-shirt. And then after that, it's all bets are off.

You can't, it's just so, it's so hot. I would like to say this many years into living in the South and also living on the East coast that I'm used to it. But this San Francisco girl, you know, if it's anything above 75 degrees, it's like, it's just traumatic for me. So we're not here to talk about me, though. We're here to talk about the news. And I'm so grateful to see all of you, Jeremy and Margie. I saw a few of you

that are just brand new joining us for the first time. Dawn, great to see you. Peggy and Ashley and Barbara, some familiar faces, Natalia. Crystal, great to see you. We've missed you, Crystal.
