Good morning and welcome to the Independent Republic of Mike Graham right here on Talk of Radio.

And so, here we are watching and waiting.

But what are we waiting for?

A little bit of light at the end of the tunnel, a little bit of common sense, a little bit of information, a little bit of confirmation. One thing is for sure, the government's pleased

that we should basically go nowhere, do nothing, see no one and keep doing it for months and months and

months are causing more than a few problems. This morning we're joined by

SDP leader William Pleuston for an examination of just how we managed to get through the next few

weeks without going completely and utterly insane, without being arrested and without somehow

losing the civil liberties that we fought so long and hard for over centuries of history in this

country, right? After all, when we hear that the police

have been put under more pressure to challenge people out for a walk or a run or a bike ride,

it's really time that we started changing the language that they're using, don't you think?

People who need to be outside are not lockdown refusinics. People who have decided to take

their children to a park are not lockdown refusiness and I'm afraid

they are being painted that way in certain newspapers including the Times which is published

in this very building this morning they are simply trying to get through a very difficult set of

lockdown restrictions and I want to hear from all of you this morning because of course you are the

eyes and ears of the independent republic you are the

people who tell us how you're feeling what you're seeing what you're hearing for example those two

women in derbyshire that so many people have read about who went out for a walk near a reservoir

and who got accosted by the police in two or three different numbers of police cars right

...
