Hi. It's so nice to be here.

I'm so glad you're here, and I know most of my audience already is very familiar with your work,

but just in case, Dr. Lori Long is a part of the fabulous childhood collective that we all love, which is a team of two child psychologists, Lori and Dr. Mallory Yee, and a speech language pathologist Katie Severson.

So three moms, so dedicated to supporting parents of children with ADHD with over 40 years of

combined professional experience. They empower parents by teaching science-back strategies to raise

happy and confident children. And I am glad that all three of them are participating in the ADHD summit, which

you've all heard about in my last episode. And it is all rolling out for you on October 17. So I know we are

all very excited and that link is down below. But today, we are talking about

school avoidance. And Lori, I don't know about your practice, but I am seeing this more and more.

I mean, I work with kids on school avoidance before COVID, but definitely I'm seeing

more of it now. Yeah. After COVID, we saw a lot more school refusal with kids just because anxiety is

high and a lot of that school avoidance comes from anxiety and stress.

And when kids were home all day with parents,

it was really hard to transition back to school.

And there was a lot of anxiety separating from parents when they had been home

for that long of a period of time.
