in which I interview Bob about his schemas

and his emotional needs and where he how he grew up and the

schemas he developed and the maladaptive coping styles that he engages in that all we all

engage in in relation to our schemas and what he's done in therapy and his own personal work to overcome that,

to not fall into certain holes, certain pitfalls, certain situations that are self-destructive

and deny Bob the ability to get his needs met, which we all need.

And for those of you who maybe don't know this, but I've been doing a series of episodes on schema therapy.

A lot of people have been asking me to do a deep dive on schema therapy.

I did that.

I didn't really know the model that well, but after doing the deep dive, I discovered that I really liked it and for a lot of reasons.

One of which is that it solidifies, so to speak, the way I've been thinking about people for the last, you know, 15 years

into a understandable model that has a language and a system that is kind of provides a formula, I guess, for solidifying the thoughts about why people are the way they are

and why we all have certain repetitive foibles and repetitive sensitivities.

Sort of an accurate description of how people are with the basis and attachment.
