And on today's episode, we're going to be talking about the 2019 horror film, scary stories to tell in the dark, directed by Andre Overdall and starring Zoe Coletti, Michael Garza, and Gabriel Rush. In this film,

four kids discover a book that starts writing stories that play out in real life much to their

detriment. If you're new to the show, Brian and I are going to have a spoiler-free discussion up

front. We'll go over the background of the film. Then we'll take a quick break. You'll

have some music, and then we'll dive in to the plot summary, hit some spoilers, and get

I took over the summer, I think I caught this one.

But there was a lot to be excited for this one.

I think we were pretty excited before its release, right?

Yeah, I get excited when these things for my childhood get releases, but then they come out and I don't really go see them.

Oh, yeah.

I don't know why. I feel like it's just that I'm done.

Although, I never really got into scary stories to tell in the dark.
