Today I want to talk to you about an important topic that I think impacts a lot of

artists and it truly damages your ability to create with

confidence in your voice. Last week we talked a lot about the idea of not being

good enough and what I want to talk about today is sort of a

cousin of the not good enough thoughts. It's the thoughts that we have that tell

us that there is not enough.

I call that scarcity thinking and it can really, really hold a lot of us back because

we create what we think we will create, which means that when we create from

scarcity, we actually just create even more scarcity. One of the common ways that

we live in scarcity is in how we think about time.

And I think this is one of the most accessible entry points into this idea because most of us

have struggles with time.

And that looks like when we're thinking there's not enough time in the day to do everything that I want to do.

When we think that there's not enough time, we feel rushed and then we start hoarding our time.

And we get really, really possessive and kind of stingy with it and we hold it really, really tightly.

We don't want to let one second of it go.

And what that looks like in our head is we have this tape playing constantly.

We're just thinking over and over and over again. I'm so busy. I have so much to do.

I have all these people pulling me in so many different directions and we think things like everybody wants a piece of me or I'm not in control of my time and there's not enough of it and I know that this sounds so true and I know that it really, really feels like it's true.
