We begin, however, with East Asia, the world of the People's Republic of China, and what is to be done with routine cheating is a polite word.

That's enough.

Cheating on the obligations of being a member of the WTO.

The impolite word is dumping, subsidizing, in general, deceiving on the basis of your manufacturing and export

quotas and what you do to pricing in Europe and the United States. However, there is a remedy,

the remedy that's been used by first the Trump administration and then Mr. Biden's administration

continuing.

It's called tariffs.

China and tariffs.

There is a case made and the Wall Street Journal makes it easily.

That tariffs are a negative when it comes to trade.

That there is no evidence, according to the journal,

that it's done anything but limit prosperity.

However, the tariffs are said to have been effective because no other blunt instrument stops China from cheating

other than putting a cost in for the cheating.
