We do this by giving patients and caregivers direct ways to share their experiences with health innovators through gigs, and advocating that they be fairly compensated for their contributions. We empower patients and caregivers to co-create new solutions, and see that their voices and experiences not only are valuable, but are of critical importance to the healthcare industry.

| 0:58.0 | What is it that inspired you to create this remarkable platform? |
| 1:03.0 | Well, I think it really comes from personal stories where that happens for a lot of us that work in sort of the healthcare and patient advocacy space. |
| 1:11.6 | First and foremost, I do identify as a patient. I was diagnosed as an infant with multiple |
| 1:16.5 | autoimmune conditions, most notably juvenile idiopathic arthritis, along with many other rare |
| 1:23.1 | and more common forms of autoimmune disease. So that was really kind of the life that I led growing up as a patient in and out of hospitals |
| 1:31.1 | and treatments and all sorts of things. |
| 1:34.3 | I had the privilege of then as an adult getting diagnosed with a rare brain tumor and had |
| 1:41.1 | that added to my list of different things to deal with as well. |
| 1:45.0 | And so I've just been living that patient life since I was an infant. |
