The Aging Life Care AssociationĀ® (ALCA), a nonprofit association with over 2,000 members, is governed by an 11-member Board of Directors who are elected to two-year terms and represent a diversity in practices and geographic locations.
The ALCA office is located in Tucson, Arizona, where a staff manages day-to-day operations as well as conference and meeting planning.
On these pages you can meet the associationās leadership as well as learn more about its governance, history, and standards.

| 1:04.9 | Sure. I'm a clinical social worker by training. I've been in the field since 1985. I can't even imagine. 37 years, |
| 1:13.6 | unbelievable or so. And, you know, I started off in the nonprofit arena working for Jewish |
| 1:22.0 | family service in Los Angeles, did that for about 10 years. And then I started a small boutique care management |
| 1:30.9 | practice, a private practice, and did that for 10 years when I was approached by venture capital |
| 1:36.3 | folk, who were really interested in this model of care management. But they were interested in |
| 1:42.8 | creating more of a national model. So for the next 20 years, |
| 1:46.4 | I work with them to create a national model. It was called Live Home at the time. And we had offices |
| 1:54.0 | throughout the country. And then a few years back, I was approached again by Jewish Family Service in Los Angeles |
| 2:03.7 | as they wanted to build up a home care integrated with care management service. |
| 2:10.7 | And so they made me an offer I couldn't refuse. |
| 2:13.8 | And I came back, so it's full circle and have been doing this work, as I said, for about 37 years and loving it. |
