My bladder was on the brink of explosion. I battled the urge to get on a bed for so long my legs had trimmers.

I tipped toward the window. It's outer side stained with frost and peered up the snow covered hill.

It was marked with weighted dead trees and shrubs all the way up to my parents house. They didn't leave the nightlight on in the living room, predictably, in considered behavior.

Christmas was a big deal in the Martin family. Two big in my opinion. Every year, even as the children grew up and moved out of the house, we would all return for the Christmas season for a few days, at least.
