It's Pride Month, and I thought to kick off Pride Month, I would do a little counter-programming

and check in on all the straight people, at least some of the famous ones.

But first, I called it.

Back in March, when Tennessee's drag ban was signed into law by Tennessee's

GOP governor who once did drag in front of a bunch of kids, I said that Tennessee's drag ban was

obviously unconstitutional, that there was no way that drag ban could survive a court challenge.

Well, U.S. District Judge Thomas Parker, a fucking Trump appointee, threw it out last week,

just in time for pride, writing that the law violates First Amendment freedom of speech protections,

and was unconstitutionally vague and substantially overbroad. So, congrats to all the queens in

Nashville, who can go to pride and melt in the sun this month without risking arrest.

There are sure to be appeals, but for now, drag is legal in Tennessee.

All right, so how are the straight people doing?

Not great.

Taylor Swift is dating a guy who said some shitty things on a podcast, a pop star that I've

never heard of before and whose name I already don't remember even after reading a long

profile of him in this week's New Yorker. I just don't have room in my brain to store the names

of any new celebrities. And my takeaway from that profile besides, yeah, he said some very shitty things on a podcast is
