Summary

A couple tricky pregnancy situations on this show: A newly pregnant woman has discovered that her boyfriend snoops through her personal stuff with no apology.  Should she dump him and embrace single motherhood? Our other pregnant woman misjudged the timing, and now has the unenviable duty of telling her current boyfriend that he is probably not the father. Bummer right?  On the Magnum, Dan chats with researcher Adam Safron for a "What You Got?" about the neuroscience of female orgasm. Finally, welcome to the SIGN WARS. A liberal woman put up Hillary Clinton signs. Her right wing neighbor put up Trump signs. It escalated until the election. Now that we are where we are, should she take down her signs already? 206-302-2064 This episode is brought to you by . We could talk about Donald Trump at the top of every show every week.

0:29.9

I actually have nightmares about that talking about Donald Trump every Tuesday morning until

0:33.7

2020 or God fucking forbid 2024.

0:40.5

But believe it or not, Donald Trump isn't the only asshole who holds elected office in the United States right now. There's a lot of asshole action

0:45.1

at the federal level, of course, with Republicans in control of both houses of Congress.

0:49.9

We could talk about those assholes, the asshole congressional Republicans, the ones coming

0:53.6

to take your health care away. But I wanted to talk about assholes who are a little closer to home.

0:59.4

Let's talk about Republicans in state government. What's going on at the state level? Quite a lot.

1:05.9

Republicans control a record number of legislatures, state legislatures. We can't possibly cover every outrage.

1:11.9

We don't have the time. The internet does not have the room. So let's take one issue,

1:17.2

abortion, and quickly run through some highlights or low lights brought to us by Republican low

lives. In Virginia, state delegate Ben Klein introduced HB2264, which would defund

1:29.8

Planned Parenthood in Virginia because with abortion rates at their lowest level since abortion

1:34.4

was declared a constitutional right, now is the time to kneecap Planned Parenthood, where millions

1:39.4

of American women get birth control. And of course, to repeal Obamacare, the Affordable Care Act made

1:44.7

contraception more widely available. And Ben Klein is a good Republican soldier, and he wants to see

1:49.9

Obamacare, the ACA repealed. It's a neat trick. Run for office as an abortion opponent. Once you're in

1:57.0

office, drive the abortion rate up. Then when you're running for re-election,

2:01.1

decry those rising abortion rates that you help to create.
