When I was working on my book American Savage, I wrote a big chapter on Obamacare.

The title of that chapter was still evil, less evil, but still evil because our profit motive-driven health care system in this country harms a lot of people.

And that was truer before Obamacare, but it is still true under Obamacare.

People are still being harmed.

People are still being driven into bankruptcy.

Some people, by design, still don't have health insurance.

We're constantly talking about how great it is that children can now, and this is an Obamacare provision, that children can

now stay on their parents' health insurance plans until they're 26. Implicit in that, though,

is that 26-year-olds, when they turn 27, can lose their health insurance when they get kicked

off their parents' health insurance plans.

So it's kind of built into the system all over the place.

Some people are not going to have health insurance.

Even some people who do have health insurance, it'll be inadequate and they will be front

page of the New York Times a couple weeks ago, driven into bankruptcy by their bills, by their

co-pays, even though they have health insurance under

Obamacare.

But it's a whole hell of a lot less evil than our old system, the one the Republicans

want to keep bringing back.
