I hate to admit it, but I'm one of those white people.

I'm one of those white people who had a knee-jerk, kind of defensive reaction when black lives matter protesters shut down a Bernie Sanders rally here in Seattle, which was some weeks after they had interrupted a Bernie Sanders speech at NetRutes Nation.

And my reaction was, oh, my God, why are they attacking or interrupting or shutting down Bernie Sanders and not going after Jeb Bush or Ted Cruz or Marco Rubio or Donald Trump.

And shortly after Black Lives Matter, protesters got in the face of Hillary Clinton.

And I had the same sort of defensive white Democrat reaction.

Like, why are they attacking the people who are on their side and not attacking the evil GOP shit stains?

Who are there, who are our enemies? All of us. Everyone on the planet, the GOP shit stains who are there, who are our enemies, all of us.

Everyone on the planet, the GOP is the enemy of everyone on the fucking planet now with their

obstructionism and denialism of climate change.

But yes, there are enemies too.

And the enemies of the Black Lives Matter movement, absolutely.

And I just thought, why aren't they going after them?

Why go after Bernie and Hillary?

But then it wasn't long until even I came to my senses.

Even I saw the results of those actions when Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton

pivoted from the usual platitudes and presumptions of democratic politicians, where they would issue platitudes about racial equality and presumed to have locked up the black vote and the votes of other people who give a shit about black lives, myself included.

And then that would be it. Some platitudes and a presumption. Plattitudes. And I can presume to have locked down your boat.

And what we saw coming out of Hillary and Bernie in the wake of these confrontations

weren't just platitudes and presumption, but policy positions and promises that were not
