We've got a great example in the news in the last week of a certain kind of Republican,

conservative blind spot thought process, the way it works for them and the way it doesn't

work for them, evidence of what I've described as that conservative GOP Republican Fox News empathy deficit

or inability to empathize to project yourself into someone else's experience.

And we have just the greatest example, to add to the list of examples, Rush Limbaugh is for incarcerating drug offenders until he's a drug offender himself.

Suddenly he sees the light and he's for treatment over incarceration because it happened to him.

Republicans are generally against stem cell research, except for Nancy Reagan because Alzheimer's happened to her husband.

So it happened to her. So she's a Republican who's for stem cell research because it happened to her. Rob Portman

against gay marriage until his son comes out and then he's for gay marriage because it happened

to him. When your kid was gay and couldn't get married, fuck you and fuck your kid. Oh, but now it's my kid. And I can suddenly empathize. I couldn't empathize when it was your kid was gay and couldn't get married, fuck you and fuck your kid. Oh, but now it's my kid.

And I can suddenly empathize. I couldn't empathize when it was your kid because fuck you again and fuck your kid again. Fuck your gay kid twice.

But it happened to me. And so I suddenly have a feeling. And I can see the logic.

Megan Kelly, Fox News anchor. Suddenly four paid maternity leave when she drops a kid.

When she has a kid, she can see the logic.

She's one of the few Republicans who's for maternity leave because she has a kid herself and is a working woman.

Speaking of Megan Kelly, last Thursday night, I was one of the many millions of Americans

glued to the television set for the first GOP debate. I watched the kids table debate with

little Ricky Santorum, whose poll numbers have collapsed into the zeros since that night. Too bad,

so sad, poor little Ricky Santorum.
