Summary

If you or someone you love is considering coming out over Thanksgiving, you simply must listen to the Magnum version of the show. A lesbian's father is a religious leader, who begged her to stay in that deep, dark closet or he might lose his "job." He's gonna have a rough holiday this year. Stay tuned.  Dan welcomes Erika Moen, graphic artist and creator of "Oh Joy, Sex Toy," a must-read comic.  And, Dan issues a public service announcement for all you pee drinkers out there.  And so much more.  206-201-2720 The Savage Lovecast is sponsored by Casper, an online retailer of premium mattresses for a fraction of the price -- because everyone deserves a great night’s sleep.  Get $50 off any mattress purchase by visiting casper.com/savage and enter the promo code savage.  This podcast is also brought to you by ExtremeRestraints.com. queer, when you're gay, lesbian, by your trans. Alert listeners, those of you who are paying

1:01.0

attention, and that's all of you, will note that these calls tend to come around the holidays.

1:11.5

you leverage yourself, your presence to make your parents into the better people that

And, you know, somebody who is not out to mom and dad, goes to college a thousand miles away and comes out to their peers and their roommates and their

1:50.8

having to either jump back in the closet or do what they need to do, what they know they need

1:54.6

to do, which has come out to mom and dad. That's why the holidays bring these calls. But how do I

come out to mom and dad.

2:03.4

And it's not just, of course, lesbian, gay, buyer trans folks that have to eventually come out to mom and dad.

This coming out stuff, particularly around the holidays, people in open relationships often have to do it.
