If you're stuck in a relationship quandary, or if you're looking for sexual harmony,

well, there's nothing you can't ask on Savage Lovecast.

So the CDC, the Centers for Disease Control, came out with the new study just a couple weeks ago.

And there was one really interesting finding in the study that leapt out at me and a lot of other people in the morbidity and mortality weekly

report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Date at April 8, 2014, if you want to look it up.

The title of the study is Vital Signs, Births to Teens, Aged 15 to 17 years, United States,

1991 to 2012.

And the really interesting bit of data in here, as far as I'm concerned, is this.

83% of teenagers said that they were already having sex.

They were already sexually active before they had any sex education in school.

A lot of these kids get no sex education in school or they get abstinence-only sex education.

Mississippi is my current favorite absence-only state because not only do they teach absence only, they also mandated by law, sex ed teachers in Mississippi, required to tell students that gay sex is illegal, which it is not.

Thanks to the United States Supreme Court and a decision that is more than a decade

old that overturned all the remaining state sodomy bans.

But whatever, the teachers are there to lie to you.

But 83% of teenagers are sexually active without having ever taken a sex ed class.

Just this fact alone gives the lie to the idea that if you teach sex,

that kids will get it into their heads, that sex is a thing that they can have, that the way to

prevent kids from becoming sexually active is to deny them information, that if we don't give

them sex educations, they will not have sex.
