Here's a story out of the United Kingdom that will come as a shock to no one who has gone

into a casual encounters or intimate encounters or rando hookups section of any personal's

dating website. There's a dating website in the United Kingdom called Plenty of Fish, as in

plenty of fish, as in plenty of fish in the sea. And they've just shut down their intimate

encounter site. After the CEO discovered that, and I'm quoting here from the independent in the

UK, it's a terrific paper, but I got here via Jezebel.

So thank you, Jezebel, for drawing my attention to this.

He says that only 6,000 of the 3.3 million people who use the site every day are, in fact, women looking for no strings attached to trusts.

Tarant, which means most of the intimate encounter asks are dudes pretending to be women.

Back to Mr. Frind, the founder of Plenty of Fish.

He says, intimate encounters on Plenty of Fish can be summed up as a bunch of horny men talking to a bunch of horny men pretending to be women.

Now, some people think a lot of those horny guys pretending to be women are gay.

And some of them are.

I've certainly heard from and talked to and gotten letters from guys, gay guys,

who went on to casual encounters on Craigslist and other websites and pretended to be women

so that they could, you know, draw out, spin out these fantasies and listen to straight guys

and get pictures from straight guys who wanted to F them in the vaginas that they did not have. So that definitely happens. But there are
