So I did something last week that I usually don't do.

I didn't watch a great big debate on television.

I didn't watch the Biden-Eddie Munster debate.

I just couldn't take it.

I was too tense after the Obama crack up at the first debate. And of course, I've been screaming at the television and tweeting and emailing everyone I know at the White House, which is not very many people. What the president should have fucking said at that debate. He should have looked at Mitt Romney and said, either you were lying to the GOP base during the primaries or you are lying to the American people now.

Which is it, Mormon motherfucker?

But of course, he couldn't say that because he would seem like the angry black guy and that's a problem for the president.

So he just stood there and collapsed.

And the polls collapsed and what had looked like a walk.

And, you know, my analysis last week, of course, was the president went into the debate with a strategy to shock Democrats out of their complacency because things have been going so well for the Obama campaign for so long.

We all thought it was in the bag.

So that was the president's strategy in the first debate to shock us out of our complacency.

It fucking worked because every Democrat, liberal, progressive and sane person I know has been

in a white hot panic ever since the first debate, which is me too, which is why I didn't

watch smile and Joe Biden and Dick Weasel, Eddie Munster at their debate because I couldn't take it. And you are listening to this podcast on the Tuesday of the second debate between Obama and Magic Underpants Romney. And I'm probably not going to watch that either. I just can't take it. I just want to get in a time machine and have it be November fucking sixth or seventh already. I want it to be over. I want Obama to win, but I want it to be over. So I think what I'm going to do tonight is I'm going to rent a whole bunch of Charles in Charge on Hulu, and I'm just going to tweet Charles in Charge, or maybe revolution, and not watch the debate. So I'm going to trust all of you who follow me at fake Dan Savage on

Twitter to tweet at me about what the fuck is happening in the debate as I tweet at you about

Charles in charge because I can't watch the fucking debate. Not that I'm not doing my part to

reelect Barack Obama giving money, importuning everyone I know to vote.
