We haven't spent a lot of time here talking about the Penn State abuse scandal, Jerry Sandusky, Joe Paterno, Mike McQuary, the whole ugly mess.

I was just at the gym before I came here to record the podcast, listening to them talk on

MSNBC about the first Sandusky hearing today where Mike McQuary testified.

Mike McQuarrie is the assistant coach who witnessed allegedly Jerry Sandusky having

intercourse, raping, rape, rape, rape, it's rape,

uh, a 10 to 12 year old boy in the shower. And in his testimony today, he said he did

what he could to stop it by making eye contact with Jerry Sandusky and slamming a locker.

I don't want to dwell on this, but when you see a child being raped, and I actually really don't feel that I need to, this is something that people who listen to the Savage Lovecast need to be told.

But when you see a child being raped, clearing your throat,

making eye contact, slamming a locker, that's not intervening. That's not stopping it.

That's not only the least you can do. It's actually nothing, nothing at all. You know this.

Everybody I think who can hear the sound of my voice knows this,

clearing your throat, making eye contact, slamming a locker. Not what you do when you see a child

being raped. You stop it. You call the police. I'm not going to sink too much more time into this,

not much of a rant this week. We're going to get right to your calls and a very special guest
