And that's not that remarkable today. A lot of teenagers are coming out. New York Times Magazine just did a story about kids coming out middle school all over the

country. People are coming out younger and younger. And Constance McMillan has a girlfriend

and her prom is coming up and she wanted to take her girlfriend to prom. And so she let her

high school know that she was thinking about taking her girlfriend to prom. And her high school

flipped out, told her that she was not allowed to bring her girlfriend to prom, also not allowed to wear a tuxedo, and that if she and her girlfriend arrived separately

and then made other students at prom uncomfortable, they would be allowed to, they would be required

to leave. They would be escorted from prom. Constance McMillan got in touch with the ACLU, which got in touch with the high school,

and then the school board decided to cancel the prom and blame the distraction that is Constance

McMillan. Now, this is a girl who's a lesbian out in high school, has a girlfriend. She's not

going to a high school in San Francisco or New York or Chicago. She is going to a lesbian out in high school has a girlfriend. She's not going to a high school in San

Francisco or New York or Chicago. She is going to a high school in a tiny county in Mississippi.

23,000 people live in this entire county. And the school board canceled the prom and pointed

the finger at this lesbian student who has months more to go in school,

whose classmates are going to look at her every day and blame her for the cancellation of prom.

This school board has incited violence against this lesbian student.

And they say it's because of the recent distraction, the distraction being Constance McMillan's desire to be treated like any other student.
