Okay, today is we dive back into Matthew chapter 5.

Let me just remind you, Jesus is launching into his longest recorded teaching.

Okay, I'm sure he taught things this long in other settings, but this is the longest

we have recorded.

And he's teaching his disciples and those who are gathered around potentially what the

kingdom of heaven is like.

Now when you hear that phrase kingdom of heaven, don't think sometime way in the future.

That's not what he's talking about.

He's talking about God's kingdom coming into reality and becoming real on planet earth.

And Jesus taught that with his arrival on planet earth and the beginning of his ministry,
