biblically about everything.

Okay so today this this is part four in our Mark series,

series going through the Gospel of Mark verse by verse,

and we're going to do with the temptation of Jesus by Satan,

which is a really intense and really interesting passage both for theological reasons because it has profound

implications for our theology. It challenges what we believe about Jesus when we think about him being tempted.

And there's neat typology, I think, that's here.

And I really want to highlight that and just have to spend some time on that.

And there's also important application for our daily lives

because we battle as well.

And that's probably where we really got to drive at home

is applying this into our hearts and lives, the spiritual war that we're in.

So first we're just going to read through the passage.

We're going to notice the elements.

It's only two verses long. So you should be able to just

soak up these two verses. We'll be getting into a lot of scripture tonight,

but we're bouncing off just two verses in Mark. And here we are in Mark 1 verse 12 through 13 just notice

what it says immediately by the way sorry I got to tell you this is after the

baptism right Jesus shows up on the scene John the Baptist Baptist, he baptizes him, he receives a spirit,

is said, the father says, this is my beloved son and whom I'm well pleased, and then he is in
