Amelia Lester in for Dorothy Wickenden. In recent months, tens of thousands of undocumented children

have been detained by U.S. immigration officials on the border with Mexico. The crisis is also

a serious political problem for President Obama,

who has asked Congress for almost $4 billion to deal with it. The challenge is, is Congress prepared to act to put the resources in place to get this done?

Another way of putting it, and I said this directly with the governor,

is, are folks more interested in politics or are they more interested in solving the problems?

That was Obama speaking yesterday after a meeting with Texas Governor Rick Perry.
