In the Fall of 2009, a man named Larry Ray began staying on campus with a group of college students after he was released from prison. He had all of them believing his criminal conviction was bogus, and that he could help them reach their true and best selves. One by one, Larry Ray began manipulating, abusing and controlling these students who all found themselves trapped in a tiny New York apartment with the con man. It would take years for the students to realize they had been scammed and abused by a man they had always believed was helping them.
