And I'm delighted to welcome to the studio this week, Sarah Pasco.

Thank you for coming in.

Thank you for having me.

We normally begin at the beginning.

But we're going to begin before the beginning with you.

Because you have described yourself as being from a working class background,

and yet your grandma was a poet and a writer on music.

Yes, she did write on music.

Your great-grandma.

Great-grandma, so yeah, her name's Rosa, and the story I got told, so she's my mum's side of the family,

was that her husband was an alcoholic layabout who drank himself to death,

and she had to make money in a time where it was quite difficult for women to make money.

And so she started, she loved classical music and working out how to bring composers over from Russia to the UK for concerts and writing about their music.

And now there's a, I believe it's a £100 sort of prize in her honour at a music school.

That's brilliant.

Yeah, £100, I don't think it gets you very far as a student now, but...

It's deflation, isn't it?

It's worth less than it was.

100 pounds was probably huge when she died.
