Hello and welcome to the Game Theory podcast offseason preview series where Bryce Simon and I

break down all 30 NBA off seasons for each team. And today we're going to talk about

your NBA runner up this season. The Western Conference champion, San Antonio Spurs,

they have been eliminated in the NBA finals by the NBA champion New York Knicks in a strange series that I feel

like should have largely just been this real like not coronation certainly because I thought

that the Knicks were going to win the series but like real, you know, exciting moment for this Spurs franchise and for this team.

And I think it is ultimately that.

I think that the Spurs should be excited.

I think that organizations excited.

They have the guy moving forward in Victor Wenbin, Yama, who is going to be, if not already,

is the most impactful best player in the NBA.

I do think that like the backcourt questions that have been raised now regarding Deerrin

Fox, regarding Stefan Castle, regarding Dylan Harper are interesting.

It felt like to me that there was a,

not a concerning lack of physicality,

but just like a slight lack of physicality

on the interior at times, right?

They play really four perimeter players

all the time around Victor Wenbenyama, right?

The closest thing they have to a true four man,

I might argue, is Harrison Barnes right now, and he's certainly a free agent. So,
