I got a weird phone call from a buddy yesterday that told me that he is officially separating with his wife. Nice. And I said, congrats. And he goes, what? I go, wait, I thought that's what you say. I don't know. Well, isn't that what people do? You know, they throw divorce parties and stuff? This wasn't that. He goes, it's official or it's official or it's going to be official. Can you get dinner?

He basically said I could use someone to talk to him. Yeah, you have a lot of friends that are having a hard time. Oh, yeah. Yeah, and I don't know why I'm the guy they call.

I don't like to leave my house and I don't like to... Yeah, but you are always available for people. I try to make myself available. You always answer the phone, as you know. If they... It's my own fault. I shouldn't answer the calls. Yeah. And if, you know, I'm... As long as it's in the valley, I just... Once I'm in the valley, the odds of be coming back over the hill are just like, it's the hardest. If your client's friend and you live in Silver Lake and you just got separated, never going to see you. Good luck. I'll send you a postmate. I'm not going. And so I said, sure, I can meet. You know, the whole thing's weird.

No, no, it's just, you know, erosion over, over many years. But that's not the issue. The issue is we got to the restaurant and it was one of these restaurants where they have a bunch of a booth on one wall,

a long booth that goes the whole length of the wall and then a bunch of two tables, two person tables and then chairs,

right? So it's all booth side and then all chair side. And they sit us down between two different

people that are having dinner, squeeze us right in, which I can ever figure out.

There's other tables, not near anyone, but they squeeze us in between these two other tables where people are eating.

And at one point, one of the people moves from the chair to the bench.

Now they're a same sider.

So we have same siders on one side of us.

So it's booth on one side chairs on the other and you and your friend are at a booth. One of you is sitting in the booth, one of you sitting in the chair. Like a normal, like normal people should have a normal meal. Yeah, but now this is different. Why? Because if it's booth, everyone wants booth. It's more comfy. No way. I don't want to sit in that chair.
