Matthew Collar here training camp is back for the Minnesota Vikings and if you notice for my

sunscreeny glow I just returned from TCO Performance Center where I spent the

afternoon watching the Minnesota Vikings practice and what a feeling it was I mean first of all when it's about

78 to 82 degrees brisk little nice breeze coming across. The football smell in the air doesn't get much better than that overall. I understand we have some 90 degree days on the way that I might come back looking a little more toasty and maybe a little more tired, but a beautiful day today for the Vikings to get out on the field at TCO Performance Center for their first practice and of course the early practices we get super excited and really intense and we preview it and preview it and then they only do about 30 minutes

of actual 11 on 11 and 7 on 7 action.

A lot of technique stuff, a lot of warming up

and doing individual drills and things like that.

So this was not the most intense practice that I've ever seen in my life as it never is to start.

And of course they are not in pads for at least a couple of more days as everybody starts to ramp up.

However, I did come away with a notebook full of stuff to share with you from Vikings training camp day one and of course as always

answer all of your questions from what I saw out there or just general big picture

Vikings stuff anything really to do with the NFL. I am here and I will be each night after I cover practice at

TCO Performance Center and also plans to interview other beat reporters out there also maybe have a special guest coming up from the Vikings as well at some point during training camp.

So there's lots to come from TCO Performance Center and then back here in my home studio as we go forward.
