Matthew chapter 20 with the lesson, salvation is free.

The parable is an interesting one because Jesus is speaking to the disciples.

The disciples have been wondering why in the world does Jesus not only give salvation to people,

but at any particular time, people can come to know his love and his grace

and his mercy. First of all, there is a rich man, a young, rich ruler that has questions towards

the Lord Jesus Christ concerning eternal life. And so this rich young ruler comes to Christ and it says, Lord,

what must I do to have eternal life? Which, first of all, that is a good question. I think it's

one of the most important questions in all of life. How can I have eternal life? That is, when I die, what will

happen to my life? Because first of all, the Lord Jesus Christ dealt with his young man because he saw

the goodness of Christ. That is, he said, you are God.
