The parable is an interesting one because Jesus is speaking to the disciples. The disciples

have been wondering why in the world does Jesus not only give salvation to people, but at any

particular time, people can come to know his love and his grace and his mercy.

In the scriptures, you have chapters and verses, well, going back to chapter 19, literally in the original language, it starts with chapter 19, verse 16, the lesson.

First of all, there is a rich man, a young, rich ruler that has questions towards the Lord Jesus Christ concerning eternal life.

And so this rich young ruler comes to Christ and it says, Lord, what must I do to have eternal life?
